I'll never forget the first CHP production I was fortunate to see - it was 'Equus' and there was quite a 'buzz' in the theater community at the time. Rumors floated that CHP was different and that they were really pushing the envelope - that the work displayed a level of quality that made them stand out from the usual crowd of community theater performance. So with high expectation, I made my way to the show and was delighted that everything I had heard was substantiated by what I saw with my own eyes. It was a breathtaking piece of theater.
